Tavolata. Because food brings us together.
Tavolata. Because food brings us together.
Culture Lounge
A long table, good food, a glass of wine – and people meeting for the first time. The perfect setup for a night full of promise. Monika, co-owner and culinary lead, has a clear vision of what our Tavolata at the Cyprianerhof should feel like. And because it stirs something in us, we want to share it with you.
Cultura Dolomiti – our way of life – tastes best when it’s shared. After all, what connects us more deeply than a meal around one table? So we did it: the first Tavolata was born. With guests, neighbours, friends, and partners. A vibrant mix of people. An evening full of conversations, laughter, and little moments. Strangers became a joyful circle. Individual stories turned into a shared experience. And who knows – maybe more of that evening lives on than just the memory itself.
How the evening ended? We’ll get to that. But first – here’s Monika’s vision.
When Monika imagines a Tavolata at the Cyprianerhof, she sees this: “A long table in the Culture Lounge – or maybe the bar. People who might not have met before, sitting together, chatting, enjoying good food. With a ‘guatn Glasl’ of wine. No set menu. Just a celebration of togetherness. Dishes served on big platters. Fresh, creative food in the center. To share, to pass around, to talk about.”
You help yourself to whatever catches your eye – and there’s always more coming.
The wine flows, and so do the conversations. People talk over each other, yet it all comes together. Music plays in the background – present, but never loud. Everyone’s happy, and a sense of togetherness grows. One that might even outlast the evening,” Monika adds. Isn’t that a beautiful thought?
No script. No schedule.
You arrive alone, maybe knowing no one. Then comes a glass of wine, some shared bread, a meal together.
Laughter across the plates.
Glances meet. Conversations flow. And suddenly, you’re part of something. That’s powerful.
This is how we do it.
And this is just the beginning. Because that Tavolata test evening? It won’t be a one-off. We’re still shaping the idea, still smoothing the edges. But that’s part of the plan. The next evening will come – maybe not as expected, but definitely full of life. With food to share and words that connect. Everyone brings something – in their mind, in their heart. That’s the taste of Cultura Dolomiti. And we’re already saying: pull up a chair.
