Supplying our eggs since 2016. And part of the family ever since.
Josef Santa delivers 1,800 eggs to us every week. Fresh from the farm. No detours. What makes his eggs special? Simple: the hens live outdoors.
Kohlstatthof in Petersberg – Konrad Santa lives and works here with his daughter Barbara. And around 1000 hens. Outdoors on the meadow, always moving, always well cared for. Josef is family – brother of Margareth and uncle to the second generation of the Cyprianerhof. Margareth grew up on that very farm.
In 1983, Josef takes over the farm. Back then: dairy cows, pigs, a few chickens – just for the family. In 1999, he shifts direction. With purpose. And conviction. The chickens stay. 26 years later, the story continues: In 2021, his daughter Barbara steps in. Two generations. One farm. And a philosophy you can taste.
What makes his eggs special? Simple: the hens live outside. Every day. They breathe fresh air, have space to roam, and someone who truly cares. Josef looks after his animals with heart – and you can tell. Since 2016, he’s been delivering about 1,800 fresh eggs to us every week. All by hand, straight from the farm.
You’ll taste them in our breakfast egg dishes, for example. It’s quality you can feel on your tongue. Because an egg from a hen that lives outdoors, pecks at grains, sees the light, and has space – doesn’t just taste different. It is different. And that’s exactly what we serve.
