Cyprianerhof
A Tribute to Beauty
Opera at the Cyprianerhof
The Dolomites set the stage. Sunset designs the light. And at the heart of it all: Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s La serva padrona.
On selected summer evenings, the Cyprianerhof becomes the setting for an opera experience that brings you closer — to the music, to the artists, and to the beauty of Europe.
This summer, we are delighted to present a very special project: an opera experience that goes far beyond a traditional performance.
The Idea
This project was born from a desire not only to offer our guests extraordinary experiences, but also to make a small yet meaningful contribution to artistic creation in the region.
At its heart lies the beauty of Europe.
Opera — one of the most sublime art forms Europe has ever created.
The Dolomites — one of the world’s most breathtaking natural landscapes.
Both are part of UNESCO World Heritage.
One as intangible cultural heritage, the other as a natural heritage site.
Together, they become a tribute to all that makes our world so extraordinary.
The Opera
The evening features La serva padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi — one of the most charming and influential intermezzi in the European repertoire.
The Artists
The project is led by bass-baritone Diego Villegas, who also performs the role of Uberto.
Joining him are:
- Davide Lorenzato, musical director, together with string quartet and continuo
- Sonja Ellemunt, stage director and performer in the silent role of Vespone
- Mirjam Gruber as Serpina
A special aspect of the production: almost all participating artists come from South Tyrol and Trentino.
Art from the region — for the region and beyond.
The Format
An Opera Experience
We deliberately speak of an opera experience. Because it is the interplay of everything that makes these evenings unique: alpine meadows bathed in the warm light of sunset, the Dolomites as a natural stage set, a drink in hand, and an intimate closeness to the artists.
