Nature is a gift. Beautiful, and at the same time, incredibly fragile. We cannot just take from it, we also have to give something back if we want to protect it for our children. Growing up in close contact with nature, we have always had great respect for it. Early on, we realised that we owe a lot to Mother Nature. Not only as citizens of this earth, but also as hotel operators. That is why we have always been committed to preserving the natural environment as we have found it, with respect for the people, plants, and animals that inhabit it.
Already in 1988, long before the buzzword sustainability was widely talked about, our hotel in South Tyrol was awarded the South Tyrolean Eco label. We have always been actively committed to protecting the environment and still do everything we can to contribute to the cause. Over the years, we have converted the heating system to an environmentally friendly wood pellet power system, which has been awarded the “Tiroler Umweltsiegel” (Tyrolean environmental seal). A ventilation system with heat recovery is just as much a matter of course for us as a charging station for electric cars in our car park. The energy we need for our hotel comes from our own solar power system and from the Tires/Tiers hydroelectric power station.
