Prösels Castle

Become acquainted with the Great Hall, the hall of pillars, the fireplace room, the castle chapel and other interesting rooms in this Renaissance castle.
Exhibitions in the Tischlerhaus: The exhibitions in the "Tischlerhaus" or "carpenter's house" are free of charge and can be visited from 10 a.m. to noon and from 3 – 6 p.m..
Individual events are advertised on posters and in the press. Any changes of date or programme are also announced in the press.

Batzenhäusel art collection: The ''Batzenhäusel'' restaurant in Bolzano was the popular meeting place for a range of personalities from the world of art and literature. The remaining collection of 98 pictures and one sculpture was entrusted to the care of Prösels Castle, where it can be visited during opening hours. Exhibition gallery: This collection of pictures, which can be visited as part of the guided tour of the castle, contains works by all the artists, who have exhibited their works in the "Tischlerhaus" since 1982.

On the first floor there are 20 pictures, inspired by South Tyrol, by the artist Lotte Copi, who has given these pictures to Prösels Castle in the form of a foundation.
The upper floor of the third gate tower has been adapted as a small rifle museum, in which pictures, photos and memorabilia from the First World War can be seen.
The Oval Room in the Mohren Tower is decorated with several commemorative targets from the 19th and early 20th centuries, on loan from the municipality of Castelrotto.
