Ötzi Museum

The public collection in the South Tyrolean Museum of Archaeology records the entire history of South Tyrol from the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic ages (15,000 BCE) to the Carolingian age (around 800 AD).
Integrated in this historic time frame are the Ice Man and the finds associated with him in the central exhibition complex. Models, reconstructions and videos give an insight in a challenging, yet contemporary way into the past.

Tuesday to Sunday 10 a.m.—6 p.m. (last admittance 5.30 p.m.), closed on Mondays.
Open on Mondays in July, August and December. Open on public holidays, except 1.1., 1.5. and 25.12. On 24th and 31st December the museum closes at 3 p.m., last admittance at 3.30 p.m..
