(350 m / 4 hours)
Tour description: Transfer to Karer Pass – 1,740 metres. The path leads you through forests and across the Latemar meadows up to the entrance of the small Latemar gap. Here, you stand directly below the vertical Latemar Towers, approx. 2,000 metres. After a descent of approx. 100 metres in altitude, we enter the "labyrinth": a massive rock field of bizarre, but fantastic rocky blocks through which the path winds. At the end of the rock labyrinth, we hike onwards to the Mitterleger mountain (1,820 metres), a beautiful larch wood clearing with a forest hut and spring. The return journey leads you through the picturesque Karer Forest just above Lake Karer to the Karer Pass. Adventure highlights: Panoramic views: Great views of the Latemar Towers, wonderful views of the Rosengarten and the Schlern. Fascinating: Fabulous rock formations, legends around the Latemar and Lake Karer. Karer Forest: One of the most beautiful pine and fir tree forests in the Alpine region.
