A snow shoe tour trough the rock labyrinth under the Latemar with great views to the Latemartowers and to the Rosengarten and Schlern. Fascinating: famous rock buildings, legends of the Latemar and the Karerlake. The Karerforest is one of the most beautiful spruce and fir forests of the Alps. A moderately excursion vith 350↑↓ m 4-5 hours hiking. Return to the hotela at 16:00 - no hut during the trip
Tour descriptionTransfer to the Karer Pass, 1740m. We will walk a short way to the Carezza Grand Hotel and then cross the road. A forest trail starts there and it will take us to Mitterleger at an altitude of 1820m. It is a marvelous larch grove with a forest refuge and a spring. Here starts the true labyrinth trail that snakes through a landslide of huge and bizarre boulders. At the end of the trail we will reach a short climb to the Latemar meadow. Once there the Latemar Peaks will be towering right on top of our heads. Once past the Latemar's meadows and across the ski slopes we will reach the Karer Pass once again.
